CIROH is excited to host its third annual Science Meeting October 14-17 2024 in Tuscaloosa, Al. The Science Meeting aims to review and advance the research agenda for CIROH and strengthen the translation of research into practice.
Agenda
The Science Meeting will include:
- Keynote presentations from CIROH and NOAA leaders, federal partners and practitioners
- Presentations for ongoing projects in either poster or podium format
- Working group meetings and roundtable discussions on emerging opportunities for CIROH
- A chance to interact with CIROH, NOAA and USGS
- Brainstorming sessions to inform CIROH strategic initiatives
- Networking and Community Building activities
Travel
Flight
Attendees flying will need to travel to either Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) or Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and drive to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Birmingham Airport is 62 miles away. The Atlanta Airport is 210 miles away. Arrangements for a rental car will need to be made. There are no easily accessible public transportation options between Birmingham or Atlanta and Tuscaloosa.
